We absolutely love shooting Day After sessions here on Maui and are so excited to share this recent session that we photographed of Kimmy and Andres on the beautiful coast of West Maui. We photographed their amazing Maui wedding at the Haiku Mill, which you can see by clicking here, and were so happy that they decided to invest in a Day After Session as well.
A Day After session is usually scheduled for a day or two after your Maui wedding. There are so many reasons to schedule one of these fun sessions but one of the main reasons is that on the day of the wedding you will be following a timeline carefully crafted by your wedding planner. Your wedding day timeline will allow for romantic portraits after your ceremony that most times will have you missing much, if not all, of your cocktail hour and heading straight into your wedding reception.
When you schedule a Day After Session there will be much less stress on you to make sure that you get back to your cocktail hour on time, you won’t have to worry about your guests getting antsy waiting for your return or guests watching as you are having your wedding portraits taken. Instead you can focus on each other and the amazing feeling of being married and in love on one of the most beautiful islands in the world.
Kimmy and Andres were married at the Haiku Mill which is an incredibly stunning venue, but is hours away from the dramatic jungle and rugged West Maui coastline where this Day After Session took place. So the couple decided to get the best of both worlds, and while wearing their wedding attire, they ventured into the jungle and cliffs of Kapalua and we couldn’t have been happier to document every moment. They walked away having both a full collection of wedding images as well as these romantic, intimate images of this amazing time in their lives, exploring the beautiful island of Maui without a care in the world.
If you’d like to schedule a Day After Session of your own please let us know, we’d love to chat with you to plan out the perfect location for an amazing day of exploring!
