The triple F – trifecta!
Family, friends and fun! That was Deann and Jasons vision of their wedding day. Deann is an island girl from Maui who fell in love with Jason – a farm boy turned city boy from the town of Galt, California. Their love story began on February 7th, 2007 when they met in an art lounge in San Fransisco near their offices. Deann works in public relations for At&T and according to her “no she does not talk about the Iphone all day”. Jason is an attorney. They hit it off imidiatley and rest is history …
Deann and Jason hosted an amazing wedding celebration on the deck at Merriman’s Kapalua. Their friends and family enjoyed Merriman’s incredible signature drinks and pupu’s (appetizers), gazed in awe at one of the most dramatic sunsets of the year and ate, drank and danced the night away!
Deanns Mother Anna was at Deanns side the entire day attending to her every need. Their relationship was a beautiful thing to document.
As Deann prepares in one of the suites at The Sheraton Maui, Jason and the boys raise their glasses from accross the ocean front lawn. Good times!
Nothing says “Hawaii” more than “Hawaiian Sun” canned juice. I grew up on this stuff. – D
And below we got the double perspective going on – Sandra’s on the right, Dmitri’s on the left – boom!
I love this shot that Sandra took of Deann’s transition from The Sheraton to Merriman’s. Images like this are the finishing touches that complete the story -D
Ballinoutacontrol in the Benz!
Deann did not overlook one detail and the decor at Merriman’s was over the top ahh-ma-zing!
I love these mason jars with the key bubble blowers inside and the printed clothes pins were very OG. Pat on the back Deann – you should be a wedding designer!
For someone who really did not want to be posed much – I think Jason and the boys did an excellent job looking GQ. Holla – baller!
This was awesome. To Jasons suprise, Deann had a cut-out of their dog Nala made since she could not join them for the wedding. Below is Jason’s first look of Nala. Classic!
Jason gives Nala some love
Deanns mother Anna could not contain her emoion.
Deann was extremely relaxed – as you can tell by her expression here.
Deann had her three Bridesmaids and also her brother Mark and good friend Matt as the Bride’s dudes. We love when our weddings are different and not so conforming to every tradition.
Good times with the hula-hoops.
Deann and Jason were not big on doing posed couples portraits. They wanted to enjoy their cocktail hour with friends and family so we took them out for about 10 minutes and captured just a few of the two of them together.
Double perspective below again – First is Dmitri’s and the next one from above is Sandra’s.
Merriman’s bar staff are all “certified specialists of spirits” and can create a truly unique cocktail for any occasion. Add to that hand crafted cuisine by Peter Merriman and you have one of the best places on earth to enjoy amazing food in a breathtaking setting.
What’s a toast without embarrassing the groom!
Jason’s best man sang a Boys To Men song for his speech. It was pretty good I must say – he nailed all those high-notes in “if I ever fall in love”.
Huge mahalo to Deann and Jason for sharing their big day with us!
